When creating a content calendar it’s important to keep things simple, start slowly, and batch work. But even with all that in mind, it can be hard to keep up with just creating the content.
That’s where using content themes can help reduce frustrations by providing clarity on what type of post to post. There are 5 main content themes to serve as placeholders so you can quickly layout your calendar. These common content themes are: Motivational or Fun, Promotional, Educational, Engaging, and Blogs.
Motivational or Fun posts are meant to make your audience feel good. Quotes are always a hit but the overall goal is to make them smile, give advice and motivate them to take action.
Promotional posts are meant to showcase your product or service and special offers. And remember to focus on benefits not features. Have them see how you solve their problem. Oh and don’t be afraid to get personal by going behind the scenes.
Educational posts are a great way to display how knowledgeable you are with useful and informative content. Provide info that will be helpful to your audience at all stages of their buying process.
Engaging posts are for well, engaging, and connecting with your audience. Ask for feedback, do polls, contests, ask interesting questions. The point is to start a conversation and speak to the people.
And finally, Blog Posts. Sharing articles from your business’s blog is not only a great way to push traffic to your website but also build authority within your niche. You can also share blogs from other top sources as well to show you’re engaged in your industry.
