One of the best things about having a website, 20 years ago, was that they were essentially set-it-and-forget-it. And it wasn’t the business’ fault either. Technology was limited making websites little more than digital brochures.
But websites function quite differently today.
Gone are the days of digital brochures. A new era of business websites is here bringing websites that function more like comprehensive digital marketing platforms meant to drive leads, close sales, and build loyalty for companies.
Which is why I’ve got 3 good reasons why you should update your website today.
- Because google wants you to – To say Google’s had major updates over it’s 22 years is an understatement. It’s become an artificial intelligence nearly rivaling Skynet. And if your website is still using outdated search engine optimization methods, even those from just a few years ago, it could spell disaster for your rankings — and the ability for customers to find you online at all.
- Because you care about your customers – You’d never sell expired food so why would you provide bad information? Avoid giving customers a bad taste by providing updated, relevant information in a user friendly way that shows you care and want to help your customers find the solution they need.
Because the competition is watching – it’s a busy, loud world out there so instead of trying to rely on shouting over the competition. Be the innovator and show the competition and customers you’re the authority in your industry.
- It’s easy to put your website on the back burner if it isn’t doing anything, I get it, but if you want to grow your business and have your website become your best salesperson — update your website.
